CONCERT: "Something Old, Something New"

WHERE: Marc A. Scorca Hall at The National Opera Center
330 Seventh Avenue (7th Floor), New York City
WHAT: Exciting news! Our baroque band will be a 'featured artist' participating in the New York Philharmonic's special 175th anniversary project, The New World Initiative. The Philharmonic gave the World Premiere of Antonín Dvořák's "New World Symphony" in December 1893, marking the Orchestra’s first World Premiere of a work written in New York City that would become part of the standard repertoire. Our concert will also feature music by other Czech composers (Zelenka and Biber), as well as those composers who sought out brave new worlds (Handel in England, and the founder of French baroque opera Jean-Baptiste Lully, who emigrated from Florence, Italy to the French court of Louis XIV).
WHO: With very special guest vocalist, Kelly "Killy Mockstar" Dwyer. Always cutting-edge, always pushing that envelope, performance artist Kelly Dwyer also studied opera theatre at Bowling Green State University. See: www.kellybdwyer.com
ADMISSION: $20 ($15 seniors & students). This is a 1-hour concert, no intermission.
